It is not wired I love fruits specially when the fruits have so much more flavors and sweetness then in Sweden.

For example pineapple is India is so, so sweet and refreshing.
When I came back to Sweden and my friends said this is a very sweet pineapple. I did tried the pineapple, but was the pineapple sweet? Not at all, sour and not at all soft and refreshing.

Here, in India there are so many yummy fruits.

Back to the gym, what I really love with my gym is there is no clothes restriction. The crowed in the gym is also very good. Man and women wear short and just focus on the workout. I am so happy with my gym, they gym is worth the cost.

Today´s dinner is chicken roll and veg/cheese rolls. In the end the mess is almost empty, more or less all girls order food from outside.
It is possible to get the food home delivered, to know Marathi and/or Hindi is a very good plus. So for me, because I can not speak any of those languages it is easier for me to order take away.
I bought tandoori chicken and veg tandoori with mushrooms. Everything were burning hot, but better then chicken rolls.

I have been in this hostel for 5 months and I call hostel home nowadays. For 5 months sharing room with a other girl. On one side of the room is “my” side with a bed and a desk and on the other side is my roommate side. It is hard to make the hostel room personal or have time for yourself.

We have also a refrigerator in our room because I am guess in the country and have a other food habits. I am very thankful.
Normally, the rooms do not have refrigerator or AC.

Good street food

Street food is nothing for people how are concern about the hygiene or stay fit. Because it is very oil and they sell food next to heavy traffic road with allot of pollution, but also how often do the man wash his hands? More or less never.
Indian street food is something special, I have not had Indian street food any where else, no restaurants that I have visit have street food on the menu card.

I have not idea what this dish calls, to point out, this is a Delhi street food and I have not seen in Pune.
The dish has a white bread with allot of butter, chickpea, in masala with a topping of onion. 
Served on a peace of a newspaper, is to walk around with.
I can also point out, it was very hot for me. After 5 months in India, I am still not use to the chilli.


Kulfi, Indian ice cream


If a tourist can eat Kulfi (Indian ice cream) without any stomach problem, then it is possible to eat anything. All from street food, pani puri to home made food with oil and hot food.
Normally, tourist should not eat paneer, because of bacteria flora are different.

Kulfi is made of milk and really tasty with different taste. It is possible to make kulfi at home, I have never done it. However I found some recipes on google.


  • ½ litre whole milk
  • ½ cup condensed milk
  • ¼ cup dry milk powder
  • 1 pinch saffron threads
  • ½ teaspoon cardamom (elaichi) powder
  • Sugar to taste (optional)
  • ¼ cup chopped Pista (pistachio) nuts


    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Extra time:6hr freezing  ›  Ready in:6hr25min 

    1. Add whole milk, condensed milk, and milk powder to a heavy bottomed pan. Bring to a boil. Add saffron and cardamom powder. If you like extra sweet, add sugar. Simmer the mixture for 10 minutes, stirring often. Cool till warm. Add nuts.
    2. 2. Pour mixture into 4 – 6 kulfi moulds (depending on size). Freeze at least 6 hours. Overnight is better. You can make the kulfi up to 1 week ahead and freeze.
    3. Take moulds out of the freezer 10 minutes before serving. If kulfi is stuck, you can dip the mould in hot water and run a sharp knife along the edges to help release it. Serve immediately

Got the plan now

Today, I went to the gym around 10 and did 55 minutes cardio and some sit ups.
I also got my diet plan.
Let see how if it possible to follow the plan, specially with the mess food.

National memorials: Raj Ghat

National Memorials: Raj Ghat, Mahatma Gandhi was cremated here is 1948. Mr. Gandhi was called during is time “father of the nation”.
The national memorials was design to keep in mind of Mr. Gandhi´s simple life.
Next to the black stone is a flame burning and on the black stone is well decorated with flowers.
It says Mr. Gandhi´s last words was Hey Ram and this to words are in inscribed on the marble in gold lettering.

Around the National Memorials is a green area with flowers and trees. There for it is possible to sit and relax before the next Ho Ho bus comes.

One pizza without chilli and no veg.
But if I should eat this pizza or the mess food with yellow daal, paneer and salad. I would acutely eat the mess food over the pizza. Is that not wired? Mess food instead of of a yummy pizza. Maybe, but I have never been a big fan of pizza or it is just because of salad.

However, I do need breaks from Indian food, I can not eat have Indian food two times a day for 2 months or even 1 months. before the breaks, the Indian food feels like it have the same base; onion and garlic with chilli. During the breaks I need non-veg, anything without chilli, something without burning hot feeling.

When I am back in Sweden I will miss Indian food, the veg and non-veg. I think I should look for some good cooking books with Indian food. Anyone how knows good cooking books?

I do not know what to say, besides college was good and I finally met my very good friend.
We had a coffee and talked allot.
At 4 I was in the gym. Came back to hostel and was with a friend.
No studies, no nothing right now. Just very tired after the the gym.
I will watch two and half men. Two and half men with Charlie is the best TV show. I can watch the show over and over again.
