A good place to eat meze with student wallet

The best thing I know is to find tasty food out which does not burn the wallet. For some days ago we went to Babel Deli, the place is perfect lunch or dinner. At lunch time there is major crowed and it is not a good idea go there at 12, either little earlier or later than normal lunch hour. A plate of Meze cost under 100 SEK, which means a student can eat there and feel good, without worries for the economy.



This is a meze plate with mutton, chicken, and much other tasty things. The food is really tasty and fast to get. However, the open hours are a bit limited, closing at 8 pm. They have to two places one on Kungstensgatan 33 (close on Sundays) and Långholmsgatan  27 (open on Sundays too). A place must to go for good food and price.



two weeks left

So right now it is two weeks left and I had my last work day today. It feels different to only have studies and no work. However, I am sure the two last weeks will be a lot studies and no calm minutes.

The other thing, when I am in India I hope I am going to learn more Indian cooking, because at home I have learn how to make pav bhaji, stuffed paratha, and many other Indian dishes. Hopefully I will lean other daal dishes, veg and paneer.


My type of dal

I do not have the energy to cook good food everyday. Who has the energy? Therefore I really like to be able to prepare 3-4 food boxes with food which mean I am saving a lot of time during the week. Also, the best part, I do not need to eat unhealthy food or half brand. But, it take time to prepare and cook better food. But, may be I should spend more time to cook good food then buy half already made.

Therefore, I am pleased to say I made dal, it is so simple to make wth a pressure cooker. I think that is one of the best things I got with me from India. Beside the need to fry the spices and onions the lential can easily be added with water and boile after three puffs it is done. Simple.

So, my lential mix for today was with green lential (they do not break that easily compare with the red one). two onions, 2 garlics, 1 red chilli, mustard seeds, coriander, ginger poweder (I do not have fresh one at home).


Somehow I miss the mess daal, it was the best thing they could make. 2-3 bowls of dal and chapati and talking to friends. Yes, what a great time we had.

Vapiano no thanks

Today for lunch, at 2 pm (which is way too late for me and more snack time) I met up a friend of mine from Brazil. She is here  as an exchange student and is very sweet. We have not been able to meet so much, due to our timings. However, today we finally met and had a nice lunch at Vapiano.
The restaurant  Vapiano, is nothing for me. In my eyes it is nothing special. The food is fresh, because they make the food when in front of your eyes but it is very small portion. A dish, cost around 100 SEK, which is okay. But I prefer K25 over Vapiano.
Also, I do not really like the environment in Vapiano, the dishes can stand for sometimes on tables before any workers collect them. Second, why is it so popular? You get your food at different times if someone order pizza and other order pasta and so on. Then you have to wait and the food get cold and so on.

Well, a good thing is how they manage with the payment. I would say that is the only positive thing. I can of course go back if my friends wants to go to Vapiano.
