Last night I met my friend and we had dinner in KP. At a restaurant where I sometimes goes to, not often at all.
The food I always, always order at the restaurant is afghani chicken. The reason behind it, is mostly because when I went with other friends we always ordered that dish and now it is a habit. Well, the chicken is taste.
However, my friend is on the other hand vegetarian so we needed to find a veg dish too.
In the end she got paneer dish. The dish was spicy but good.
Wow, sometimes I forget how tasty homemade food is.
Like the food is not too hot. The food has something extra and I do not know of what.
But is something more then just oil and spicy.
Problem is, Indian families gives one too much food. Way too much food.
The food on the plate was amazing
Paneer, Cashews, spring rolls and sweets. So much heavy food and really tasty.
I do not know what to write. The reason is nothing is really happening. I have college twice a week, Human rights.
Today our prof. got angry on the students how do not show any interest in the topic. So it ended up half off the class left. As ma’am said: she prefer to teach for 5 students which are interested in the subject then a whole class and half of the class is not interested.
Seriously, I can totally understand her. I have never ever seen this much lack of interested from students in any topics then i India.
Students are playing with the phones, talking (load), sleeping during the class. That is not at all acceptable or respectful. Why can they not be quiet and make notes and listen on the prof? is it that hard?
So, here is a photo on home made rice with paneer. Not at all healthy, but very yummy.
While I was reading my notes for risk management. In the upcoming week I have 2 test, which I know so far.
From nor way, my friend did send a mess on whatsapp and asked to meet me for a dinner. Dinner was tomatoes salad, spinach with paneer and naan.
Indian fast food and is not street food! Can it be possible? Yes and the food was okay.
The saddest part is I do not remember the restaurant chain name or the dish’s name (something with paneer)
However, this was my plat and probably you know already I love paneer. It is impossible to get too much paneer, but it is very heavy food.
Look like it was tandoori paneer and the grilled vegetables and some more food.
From the lunch, I had some food over, which I have not touch. To let the food go as waste is something I am against. Specially in India, with starvation and people living under poverty line. So, what I did was take all untouched food put on a plate and gave the food to the street kids outside the restaurant.
A small, simple thing to do. But the smile you get and the feeling, are one of the best.
During Diwali, more or less during 5 days. My host mom was not allowed to use the pan for chapati. In order to that we did not have the normal food. No bhaji with chapati. No food which need the pan. Instead we had fried food, rice, poha, bhel and etc. The food we ate, we also added the homemade snacks or sweets. The reason why the women shall not use the pan, is because during Diwali she has holiday and should enjoy with less cooking.
However, one evening we went to restaurant Abhishek. That restaurant is pure veg and make amazing food, so in the evenings there are a long cue, 20 minuets waiting. One of the dishes we ordered was paneer from the tandoori.
For them how do not know what paneer is, paneer is cottage cheese. I just love, love paneer and the dishes we ate were really good!
